Bem vind(o)a,
há algum tempo que andava apensar em divulgar o meu «hobby» que é o culminar duma paixão já muito antiga por estes seres tão pequenos, tão fragéis e ao mesmo tempo tão belos na diversidade da forma, côr e canto.
Penso que poderei agora, com alguma regularidade, ir aqui publicando toda uma série de informações, opiniões, extraídas de diversas publicações, de páginas da net e da prática pessoal, que submeto à vossa análise.
Concordem ou discordem, participem pois todos os contributos serão muito bem-vindos.
Neste momento possuo as seguintes aves:
Diamantes Gould (Chloebia gouldiae) - clássicos, azuis, amarelos e prata.
Diamantes estrela (Neochmia ruficauda)
Diamantes papagaio (Erythrura psittacea)
Bengalins (Lonchura striata domestica)
Mandarins (Poephila guttata)
Irei colocando fotos e notas diversas sobre elas regularmente.
A maioria das diversas gaiolas/voadeiras que irão surgir nas fotos foram contruidas por mim.
Aguardo as vossas opiniões.

For sometime now I've been thinking of unveiling my hobby that it's the climax of a quite old passion concerning those little and fragile beings but yet so beautiful in their diversity of shape, colour and singing.
I think that from now on I will be able, in a regular basis, to post all sort of informations, opinions and advices that either I experienced myself or that I came across in several publications and even found on the net for you to assess.

At present I own the folowing kinds of finches:
Gouldian Finches - (Chloebia gouldiae) - classic, blues, yellows and silver mutations
Star Finches - (Neochmia ruficauda) - yellow and red headed
Parrot Finches (Erythrura psittacea)
Society (Bengalese) Finches (Lonchura striata domestica)
Zebra Finches (Poephila guttata)
I will post photos and notes about them in a regular basis.
Most of the cages and flights/aviaries have been built by me.
I shall be expecting your contributions.
